This had better be a fluke.

Scene: 2009, 15:00 hours.

Drinking, snacking, visiting with family. Get phone call. My dad took a tumble outside of his condo, sustained a head injury, and spent 2 days in the hospital.

What I've been doing since that phone call:

Hanging around a hospital.
Not sleeping.
Now hanging around at my parents since my dad's discharge from the hospital.
Trying to put Christmas away. Done. The seriously dead tree is now headed to its final resting place. I tried to put away my inlaws portrait with our other Christmas decorations, but to no avail. It is now lying face down on my buffet.
Helping my husband come up with a new and "improved" budget. Translation: Trying not to let my hair and Starbucks budget get slashed.

This is just a fluke, right? 2009 is supposed to be a good year, right? Right? Right????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I am also NOT amused by 2009 shenanigans. Hope your dad is better. Looking forward to that giveaway for the "picture frame" LOL

And worrying, no doubt. Hope your dad makes a complete recovery (and you do, too).

Oh noooo...not the Starbucks restriction!!! Say it isn't so! Tell hubby that you can switch to plain wrap laundry detergent instead!

Glad that your inlaws are gone. Hope the picture suddenly vanishes.

I have an aunt that is known for taking pictures when she visits. It never fails that photos come up missing. Maybe I can send her to your house??? I'm just saying...

It's a fluke! Just a really bad fluke to reset the standard for flukiness. That's what I believe, and since this is a democracy, I want to take this opportunity to encourage all of you to believe it, too.

I do believe in fairies . . . I do I do I do . . .

Nice try with the in law picture. I'm proud of you. I hope your dad is doing better. You've 360 days for things to look up and they will, I promise.

I'm thinking that junk was left-over 2009 crap.

hope so, anyway.

Please tell me you stood firm on your essential Starbucks and hair budget items.

Some things are NOT negotiable. Me? It's the wine budget. :-)

Will you PLEASE post a picture of the portrait of your inlaws??? It's just killing me.

Hope your dad makes a good recovery.
