This was actually a sign on my dad's hospital wall...

Nothing like a cheery near death sign to give you a real pick me up!! As for having questions or concerns, if I were in that unit I might have a couple of questions or concerns. Maybe it's just me though.

***UPDATE*** My dad actually found the sign to be quite funny, as did I. He made me take the picture and he is having me send it to Jay Leno.

You have GOT to be kidding. Good Lord, I cannot beleive how crass that sign is....not funny! How's about the freaking HEART CARE Center or something with a little bit of positive spin to it?

Hope your dad is doing well and that his heart is NOT flunking out!

Seriously, how about a lesson in patient psychology?! Glad your dad found humor in it. He sounds like a trooper.

written by a stupor and stared at by many other stupors all day. Why? if not, then why the hell is it still there?

I'm a grandmother, who happens to be one of those that loves making fun of the not-so-wonderful things that "alas" come into our lives. As in...life-threatening illness. A person needs to find silly stuff like that to not turn into this "oy gevalt" or "Oy vey iz mir" Yee-ahh, another sadness, I have to endure! That's just too grumpy.

My favorite kitchen sign up for the whole world to see is a rusted, yellow, old bullet hit porcelain sign that says "Caution Electric Fence" that reminds me that being shocked by a defibrillator isn't so bad. I shocked myself way to much on our own electric fence as a kid, and yes, it's the original sign we had on our south pasture.

My husband's a fire captain and has extensive training on the procedure. My husband shocks me a lot. j/k hahahaha

Your dad is my kind of people!
