Instead of staying at orchestra for 2 hours, I met my friend Kylee for cocktails and appetizers. I enjoyed an apple-tini,(my first one!) and Kylee refreshed herself with an Amstel light. We had a great time catching up!
I came back to hear the kids play for a bit, and the Maestro seemed quite pleasant and amusing. Did he have a change of heart? No, I think it was the cocktail. Whatever works.

Now THAT'S why I enroll my kids in extracurriculars and sports! If we lived closer, I'd meet you and ditch the kids in orchestra/hockey/soccer/whatever!
Well, for practices, at least.
That sounds like a great idea!!
Is the Appletini like drinking kerosene? I had my first martini a couple of months ago and thought I was going to have to go in for esophageal reconstruction.
Dude, this has NOTHING to do with the post at hand. I didn't even look at it. I was just over at Happy Meals and Happy Hour and had to comment on YOUR comment.
I also threw out the Overpriced Holiday Crap catalog that was really, really, REALLY being pushed as my kiddo's school's primary fundraiser. AND I've joined the PTA, too.... so I just wanted to say that I'm sure the lightning will surely strike me down before it reaches you.
Hee!
Cheers!
