And now, a word from our sponsor...

Important life lessons, as told by Jen's pets...

Now it is time for all of us to join Jen's cat, Chessie, in some personal grooming lessons. In this picture, Chessie is illustrating the importance of thoroughness when cleaning yourself.

Can't reach? Just strrreeeetttcccchhhh and you'll get it! Don't give up!

So I'm at Jen's house the other day, and decide to use their restroom. Who should I stumble upon but Franklin, Jen's evil Prozac dependent cat? With meds, Franklin's social skills are only sub par. Apparently Franklin likes to hang out in the windowsill of the bathroom fairly regularly. I go in to the bathroom, and Franklin gets up and howls at me. I ask him if he would please leave so I can have my privacy, and what does he do? He yowls very loudly at me, proceeds to sit on the windowsill, and gives me the evil eye. Well, I have to go, so what better to do than to capture the moment of Franklin glaring at me while I go potty? Hey, when you write a blog, just about every subject becomes blog-worthy, no exceptions.
Note to my brother Chris: I was only doing a "#1". He's the curious type, you know.
Finally, for the grand finale, Chessie and Millie will illustrate to us how those in the animal kingdom also suffer through lover's quarrels...we humans are not the only ones to give each other the silent treatment.

I wonder if they kissed and made up. Let's ask Jen!

Oh, that's cheap--using adorable pictures to make me love your blog. What a dirty trick!

i just want to make sure i have this straight, dear sister. i was censored from a response to a "random thoughts" post -- that i won't specify (which remains unfortunate as it is such a brilliant link) but a cat sitting spread eagle and clean-urbating itself is fair game? huh.

The pet mom here...dog and cat have yet to kiss and make up. Franklin is experiencing a hiatus from his Prozac. Perhaps that explains the potty guarding behavior. Chessie...well, no comment.

Ok, I think Chris wins for creating a new word. I looked it up on Urban Dictionary, and it does not exist. However, I think it is brilliant.
